Today is Day Zero (bbbrrrrr…) of my 1001 challenge, and I’ve started with small goals. In particular, I worked on goal 26. The idea is that each day I declutter or clear or tidy up or whatever for 10 minutes. I use a stopwatch to do this, making it seem a bit more organized. 10 minutes sound like a very short time? Well sure, that’s true, but I’m fairly untidy in general, and clutter tends to accumulate- especially on my desk- so this actually worked like a dream. I’m very pleased with the results, the office is notably cleaner and tidier, after just 10 minutes. So I thoroughly recommend this little obsessional idea- obsessional but effective- to anyone who is as untidy as I am.
By the way: I got the idea of this 10-minute-a day tidying/decluttering task from a little book I own, 10-minute clutter control room by room, by Skye Alexander.
